About the Mount Vernon Leadership Fellows

The Mount Vernon Leadership Fellows program is a fully funded summer program for rising juniors who “desire to make a difference.” Exemplary students from diverse academic fields spend five and a half weeks in a leadership program inspired by George Washington in his former home in Mount Vernon, Virginia. The select group of students learn from corporate, government, and military leaders. The program culminates in a community service project.

Special Location of award, if applicable: Mount Vernon, Virginia

Eligible applicants:

– are rising college juniors
– have a GPA of 3.4 or higher
– are US citizens
– have demonstrated leadership ability and interest

Student year:

Student year at time of application:  Undergraduate РSophomore

University endorsement required?

Yes

Citizenship requirement:

Must be U.S. citizen
